PINK GIRLIE SPRING AND EASTER all in one post

Good morning everyone

Today i want to show you 2 gorgeous shaped / spring / easter / pink / girlie creations that i have been working on.

The first card is made using a digi is from "The Scrapbook Stamp Society" called Lil Ragamuffin Bunny from the talented artist Sherri Baldy and can be found HERE.

I have created a shaped card and covered it with papers, crimped card, ribbons, buttons and used nesties to create the matting and layering shape for the digi to sit on.
The digi has been coloured with spectrum noir pens, glittered, glazed, blinged and sculpted before attaching to the matted shape using pinflair glue. I have also used some pompoms around the shapes to represent the bunny tail !

Next i have created a wall hanging.
This project is made using a digi from "The Scrapbook Stamp Society" called Dreams from the talented artist Heather Valentin and can be found HERE.

I printed the digi onto white neenah card stock.
I have cut a large pink scallop circle next cut a plain circle in a darker pink then another scallop circle in the white neenah with the digi all from 2 grand nesties collections.
The digi has been coloured with spectrum noir pens and glittered to full capacity !!
The pink circle has been edged with pinflair flexi bend peel offs.
I then added heaps of bling, feathers and a bow. Lastly i added a hanging bow to hold it up.

The Scrapbook Stamp Society Sugar & Spice Blog Hop

 Here is my project for this hop, i have used the "Mary Jane" digi from the designer and blog owner Sherri Baldy . This digi can be found HERE .

I have created a flower card with her.

I printed the digi twice then cut out the first one close to the edge and coloured her with spectrum noir markers. I then cut the second printed image but only cut the dress and coloured that also. I then glittered the petticoat of her dress and socks. I added some little star bling to her bunches.

On the card blank itself i edged it in pinflair flexi bend peel offs then cut a strip of ribbon and used a heart pearl ribbon buckle. I found 2 cute cupcake buttons and snipped off the back of them and attached them to the card with pinflair glue. Once the digi itself was also dry i shaped the first layer and then attached it with pinflair to the card. I then shaped the dress for the second layer and also attached it with pinflair glue.
The last thing to be added was pearl bling around the edges of the card itself.

PINK WHITE BUTTONS AND BOWS - BLOG HOP 5TH MARCH ' 12

Hello everyone and welcome along to the PINK,WHITE,BUTTONS & BOWS blog hop today 5th March hosted by Lynne.

If you have arrived here from Erin's blog then you are on the right track to continue but if not and wish to hop along then please start back at our hostess Lynne's blog

Pink is my fav colour and i love using buttons on my cards so this hop was a must for me.

Lynne had mentnioned it would be great if we could incorporate the use of Lillies on our cards as this hop is in honour of Lynne's grandaughter and her name is Lily. I have however incorporated them in on my cards near the end of my posting for today as a Stargazer Lily is my favourite flower.

So here are my creations for this hop - hope you like them.

First up is a very simple plain and elegant Candy Tuft flower fairy card. It is Pink, White, uses buttons as the stopper for the easel and has a bow under the topper.

For this next card i have used the inspiration from a friends card to corner the edges for the matting and layering and around the actual card itself. It has plenty Pink, White, Buttons and a knotted bow.

For this one it is a stylish girly card using Pink, White, Card Candy on the edges - like faux buttons and a bow around her dress. The flowers on the backing paper could pass for lillies - what do you think ?

Next up is a fabby image of a black cat with of course some stargazer lillies. The stargazer is my favourite flower. This card again uses the elements Pink, White, buttons and a bow.

This last one is my favourite. It is a scallop edge rocker style card. I have used the digi of a a stargazer lily as the main focal point on the card and matted it on pink scalloped edge card. Cut the main rocker and used a docrafts backing paper, edged it all in pinflair flexi bend peel offs and then added 3 buttons and a double loop pink bow - again meeting all the hop requirements

IT'S A GREEN THING - BLOG HOP 3RD 4TH MARCH ' 12

All our projects had to reflect something about nature.

Here are my projects for this hop. I have created a decoupage framed picture which now hangs in my parents house. I had 3 printed sheets of the kingfisher and just cut out various layers to mount on 3d foam. I then mounted it into this frame. Simple and easy.

Next is a butterfly and floral painted glass vase. I drew the outline of the butterfly and flowers in lead liner then coloured them with Pebeo glass paints and set aside to dry. Once dry it went into the oven to harden as this then makes it dishwasher safe.

My last project for today is 2 owl ceramic garden ornaments that i painted and glazed and these too are out in my parents garden.

Scrapbook Stamp Society 1st March Challenge

Hello everyone

Well today i have great pleasure in annoucing that i am a new member of the
Scrapbook Stamp Society International Design Team !

So this is my very first post for them - the challenge is called GARDEN PATCH and i hope you like what i have created.

The digi i have used is called " Springtime Curly Sue "from the very talented artist Heather Valentin and you can find Curly Sue HERE.

I have created a floral shaped card and this is how i made it.

Edged the card blank in pinflair flexi bend silver peel offs.
Added lilac gems to each of the flower petal areas.
Printed the digi and coloured her with spectrum noirs using the blender pen to create the right shadowing effects.
Cut out the digi close to the edge just leaving a slight white edge all around her.
Glittered her outfit and hat feathers.
Added ranger glossy accents to her hair, the flower leaf and the flower centres
I sculpted the shape so it was curved as this gives such a lovely effect rather than attached flat on the surface.
Attached her to the card base using pinflair glue.
Again using pinflair glue i attached the colour co-ordinated flowers to the left side of the card and a button in the centre of each.
Lastly i added some pink and some pearl stamens again attaching with pinflair glue.

I apologise for the quality of this second photo as something was being moved behind me as i took the snap!

Wow, these two projects are certainly glitzy and snazzy, Gill! The easel card is just delicious in that deep rich plum colour withe lighter accents...I just love the glitter embossing powder on the base layer and stopper bar. DEBBEES CDS - DT CHALLENGE

Good morning everyone

Today sees the launch of a new challenge at Debbees CDs challenge blog. It is feb so what does that bring - yep its all about love for valentines day.

Here is my project for this hop using Debs freebie papers and toppers.

I have created an A5 size card and covered the front and back in the different gradient papers then edged the front with pinflair flexi bend peel offs.

I cut out the main topper and matted and layered it onto pink and purple card cut with scallop edged scissors. The heart is mounted on 3d foam and edged again in peel offs. The tulips have been glazed with glossy accents.

I then punched out some little butterflies in purple glitter card and used pinflair glue to stick them on the card.

A mega pink organza bow and hat pins added for decoration with a little clear flower button. Love xxx peel offs added to the matting block.

I used the insert provided by just trimming it down a smidge and attaching to the inside of my card.

I took the other topper and matted it onto pink card stock and used it as a topper onto the back of the card.

I hope you like my creation for the challenge and will also check out the other DTs creations. Remember Debs gives away the papers and toppers FREE on her blog and all you have to do is create with them, link them up and you could win a CD from her fabby range - an amazing challenge - GO FOR IT !

Hello everyone

Today is the Glitter and Bling blog hop day two 22nd Jan 2012 - its the first hop i am hosting for 2012 !

Another major glittery creation for today - glitter embossing powder used as my main layer on the card. The images has been created with clear versamark ink and lilac embossing powder and then covered in distress ink.

This is a grungeboard bracelet that i made for myself. I have covered it in mica cosmic shimmer then stamped an animal print all over the length of it. Once dried i added the pop fastening.

VALENTINES HOP 14TH JAN '12

Good morning Everyone.

Today i am taking part in a Valentines Hop hosted by Nicolette.

This is a 2 day hop so here are my projects for day one

This is a little cat stamp with balloons from the Little Claire range. I have coloured in spectrum noir pens and used glossy accents to cover the cat. I then punches out 2 sizes of hearts and matted and layered them together and added them on top of the stamped balloons to change them from round balloons to hearts.

The first layer of red card has been embossed using a hearts embossing folder through my big shot. I have added different layers of card stock, edged in pinflair flexi bend peel offs, card candy, ribbon strips, bow, metal heart embellishments and glitter.

This next one is from a Hunkydory kit called Meow. I have used one of the cat cards as a template to cut out a cat shape on a larger piece of card but using the cat as a front to the card. Added bling and a bow for a collar. Added other toppers from the kit, edged it all in pinflair flexi bend peel offs and bling and bows.

This is another one from the Meow kit. Its a paw print easel card where i have added all the toppers to the paw and paw pads. More bling, bows and peel offs to set it off.

My next project is a glass painted hurricane candle jar that i made for my mum. I have used Pebeo glass led liner to draw the image then filled it in with Pebeo glass paints. Baked it in the oven to make it hard so it became dishwasher safe.

Hello everyone and welcome to one of my yummiest blog hops - Today is National Cupcake Day so im celebrating it by hosting a hop.

You are in the right place to begin the National Cupcake Day blog hop so without further adieu as i know you are all itching to see whats on offer on this scrummy hop - here are my creations

The first is 3 wee mini chipboard albums that have their own little stand. I have not filled them with anything yet as was going to wait for something special. I have used the trimcraft Piece of cake papers and added some bling and ribbons

Next is a cutey cupcake cut using a template.

This one i have used a flowersoft topper and added white flowersoft and glitter to the icing

Now i love this next one as its a 2 layered accetate card. the top layer has the cupcake created from Anne Marie template designs and added onto fancy swirl accetate. This was attached to the main card using brads.

As you can see when you open the accetate layer it then reveals a backing card where i have used the pat a cake pat a cake bakers man rhyme that i downloaded from the internet.

For this last card i have used DCWV backing papers, edged it all with flexi bend border peel offs. I cut the baking tray from the From My Kitchen cricut cart then added some crafty bits cup cake embellishment cupcakes. I then added some craft works card candy as a little extra down the left side with a DCWV sentiment and a little bow to too it off.

Well thats all my cupcake creations for today - yummy eh?

Sweet Stamping Treats this week - Challenge Tag, Box or Bag and Free Digi Winner

Today at SST its a fabby challenge for you - its to create a Tag, Box or Bag challenge !

I feel a box or a bag is something i can make without thinking about it so I have created a tag for this challenge. As i "dont do tags" i wanted to challenge myself to see what it would look like but i gave in and have now turned it into a tag style card so i can at least use it. I just dont understand the use of a tag im afraid unless its for attaching to a present - maybe its just me ! LOL

Hello everyone and welcome to the Girlie Girl blog hop hosted by Jearise.

Now here are my projects for this hop

This first one is a kanban concept kit card where all you do is just assemble the elements but for me thats a tad too boring so i added some mirror board as extras to the main mirror, added gems, peel offs and ribbons.

From a create and craft charity donation card kit that i purchased last year, i am finally showcasing the cards that i have made from it. There are far too many so ive only put on a few for this hop. The card stock bases are already decorated with the backgrounds like the chandelier or the shop etc and all i have done is decoupage the elements to put on top - added some extra glitter and bling too.
I apologise as these cards are still in their card bags so when the photos were taken the plastic is showing as a little wrinkled!!

I hope you have enjoyed my creations today and would apprecaite it if you could leave me a comment as i love to read what you think.

I have currently a cupcake scrapbook page running in the Oct/Nov competition and it closes on Wed 30th and i would LOVE to win.

Good morning world - how are we all today then ?

Ive had a manic week with lots going on and some FABBY news to share with you all - as some of you know my job ended 2 fridays ago (couldnt say i was sorry about it) but as one door closes another opens as they say - anyway yesterday i was offered the Shop Manager / Demonstrator job for a new crafting shop opening any day now in Inverness called "Caroles Crafts". They have branches all over the place and now in Inverness - with lots of fabby new products. Anyway i just thought id share that with you.

Moving on - Today is the launch of an new challenge at CBGM but before i launch it i have to give thanks to my girls for their inspiration on the last challenge and thanks to you all for taking part.

Hello everyone, Today at SST we have another digi dollar sale so please pop over and check it out.
I have used the wreath digi to create with and used two template circles to cut out the wreath. It has been coloured with spectrun noir pens and then the xmas roses have had glitter added and then bling for the holly berries. Bling in each 4 corners and bling in the centre of the bow after it has been decoupaged. I hope you like what i have come up with

Sweet Stamping Treats - SPOTLIGHT posting

Today at SST is the first of a SPOTLIGHT posting on a specific card made by one of the DT using one of the digis readily available on the webiste.

Please check out SST for the full posting and the digis that are available on the site.

The digi i used today is TWEET with the cupcake. I love tweet and clearly i love cupcakes so this was an ideal image for me !

I have printed the digi onto Neenah card stock and coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers. It was matted onto blue card stock to match the colour i chose for Tweet. The card stock was covered with a fancy paper from a Kanban paper pack and then a pink gingham (YEE HAW) used as a strip across the card with pink glitter board as its matted layer. The cupcake icing was covered in glitter to make it sparkle.
I punched out a saying and another punch to matt the scallop layer. Then a little bow to finish it off

Good morning everyone

Today i am hosting the My Favourite Things blog hop where we are showcasing some projects that are our favourite things or projects depicting our favourite things,

You are in the right place to start this hop so i hope you enjoy what we all have to show you.

So what are your favourite things ? - my favourites are dolphins, penguins, fairies, animal print, cupcakes and cats - so my projects for this hop are projects i have created using my favourite things.

My first project is on dolphins .This is a jute re-useable bag that i created out of fabric squares glued to cardboard squares, then embellished the bag with buttons and created a hang tag.

Another one of my favourite things has to be cupcakes !!

This is a cupcake card i created from sizzix dies in my big shot ( havent used it for a long time), piece of cake paper, DCWV sentiments and some bling

Penguins are up next and this project is a decopaged papermache penguin. I covered him in the spotty papers then used snow paste for his belly and tied a pink bow around his neck

Fairies are up next and in particular Tinker bell. This is a notebook that i made using chipboard, papers, tinkerbell chipboard shape, tags, shoe charm and ribbons. The book was bound using the bind it all machine.

Next is my animal print project. This is a little box i made a while ago but have never shown it anywhere so i thought why not on this blog posting. Its cut from a box die for the sizzix big shot and i used fluffy furry leopard print paper to cut it from. It has a small window cut inside with accetate to cover it. I then made a name plate for the front and added my name and bling then it is tied all together with some ribbons

My last favourite is cats - so heres my cat project, it is a glass painted cat candle holder. I have used 2 cats sitting at a window scene on one side then a black cat on the other. These were drawn in led liner then coloured in with pebeo glass paints and baked in the oven to make then hard and dishwasher safe.

This is the back with the small black cat but the way the light is shining throught it its making it look 3d as its all 3 cats are on one side.

Hello everyone

Today i am showcasing some of the Christmas cards i have been making that feature Raymond Briggs's The Snowman which was made available to crafters through Crafters Companion kits and CDs.

Hope you like what i have come up with. They use craftwork cards scallop edge card bases & card candy, Pinflair flexi bend peel offs , various embellishments from my stash, ribbons, bling, lots of rainbow mirror board, bows and sentiments. Each element is 3d'd with either foam pads or pinflair glue gel.

30 DAYS OF GIFT GIVING BLOG HOP

Hello everyone

I am taking part in a blog hop called the 30 days of gift giving hosted by Jill (The Scrapaholic) where each of us in the line up over the 30 days are showcasing projects we are making as gifts for giving.

Today is my day for showcasing what i have made - hope you like what i have done.

My gift is a handmade box full of tablet that i created for a crafting friend a few weeks ago. I used coredinations card stock and the Ultimate Pro board to create the box. Its a 12x12 sheet of cardstock divided into 3 and scored and folded in each third to form the box. Once shaped i glued it altogether and held it with clothes pegs till the glue was dry.

Next i made the box lid. As the 12x12 sheet made the initial box and it was divided up into sections then the lid had to cover the box base so it needed to be slightly bigger than 4x4 to fit properly. I cut a 5x5 piece of card and then scored a half inch all around it for which i was able to cut a snip out of each corner to create the folds to make the lid. This again was held together with glue and clothes pegs till it dried. I added craftworks card candy to the corners. They act like faux brads.

Once the box was all dry i then cut smaller sizes of paper to decorate the box sides and lid. A large piece of ribbon to tie it all up in and a small round tag with Best Wishes on it.

Next i filled it up with lots of yummy tablet as my gift.

Ive had a relatively busy week, returning back to work after my week off ,but it ended with a surprise of me being paid off from my job - great eh !
