NEW DIGI RELEASE FROM SCRAPBOOK STAMP SOCIETY

My second posting for today is to tell you about the 2 new digi releases from the Scrapbook Stamp Society.

They are called - "Shades of Green" by Morgan Fitzsimons, and "Lotus Blossum" by Sherri Baldy.

I was given the "Shades of Green" digi to create with  for this release so please see below for my creation.

I adore this digi as its so easy to colour and as its called shades of green i went with that colour scheme to create with. im not a green fan but i am loving how this turned out.
I covered the easel base with green glittered card stock and edged it in pinflair flexi bend peel offs. I punched out 3 butterflies to add as accents to the easel frame.

I printed the digi onto neenah card stock and coloured it with spectrum noir markers. then cut the image out close to the black edges. I then glittered the wings and used glossy accents to glaze her hat and dress. I added pearl bling to punched out butterflies and 3 along the bottom edge of the easel frame.

As you can see i created an actual easel card as opposed to the traditional easel type cards that flooded the craft market last year. This easel is from a put it together pack from Pinflair.

I hope you like what i have created with this new digi. I think i need to make more of this easel type cards as love how they turn out - just need to work out how to make them larger!

Thank you for visiting today and let me know what you think of my latest project. Thank you

The Scrapbook Stamp Society Buttons Bows and Lace Challenge

Hello everyone - today at the Scrapbook Stamp Society we have a new challenge called "Buttons, Bows and lace".

I have chosen to use the Lil Ragamuffin Bunny digi from Sherri Baldy and she can be found HERE.

I have created a simple rocker style card which has a white scalloped base and top cut from a large nestie.
I then cut a plain large circle in pink card and cut it in half to add on top of the scallop base.
Next i took a pice of dotty card and ran it though my grand calibur using a buttons embossing folder. This semi circle then had lace added all around the round  edge before it was attached on top of the pink card.
Next i cut a pink circle to add on to of the white scallop for the top of the rocker.
This area was then edged in silver flexi bend pinflair peel offs. The same was then added to the pink semi circle around the base.
Next i printed the digi and coloured her in spectrum noir pens and glazed her eyes, lips and tail. She was mounted onto the card sculpted for shape, then pinflair glue applied for a raised image.
All around the scallops on the base and top i applied some bling - then a little white bow onto her pigtail and a large gingham bow to the base of the card.

Thank you for visiting today and if you are now feeling inpsired to create something in the theme then please link it up HERE.

YEE HAW !

Hello everyone

Today i am showcasing another 2 creations using a digi from The Scrapbook Stamp Society. This is the Lil Cowgirl digi from the talented artist and owner of the company Sherri Baldy. The digi can be found HERE

So here are my projects - first up is a 6x6 square card. I covered the card base using a kate knight paper then edged it with black flexi bend peel offs. I printed the digi onto neenah card stock and coloured with spectrum noir markers. I then cut out the digi using a nestie and then a larger one for the black layered effect. I added black bling all around the shape for a nice effect

I covered the petticoat layer of her skirt in glitter and added a couple of bling gems to her belt and garter.

I then tied a piece of wired ribbon into a bow and added some floral accents behind it with a feather. A heart button as the bow centre piece and a cowboy boot charm to dangle below it.

Next up is another 6x6 square card using the same digi but this time with a totally different twist. Its a tartan pastel cowgirl !
I covered the card stock in tartan papers and then cut a smaller square in heart papers for the middle of the card and matted it onto pink card stock.
I printed the digi onto neenah card stock then coloured her with spectrum noir maker pens.

The image was shaped before i placed it onto the card base. I added three co-ordinated heart buttons on the left and a little flower gem to her garter and spur.

Next using the new spellbinders little bitty blossoms i cut out 3 flowers using the same papers and applied them to the card with pinflair glue. I added 3 pearl/diamante hat pins for effect

Her eyes, lips and boots were glazed with glossy accents and i added glitter to her hat band and petticoat of her skirt.

MARILYN

Hello everyone

Today i would like to showcase for you 2 projects i have been working on using the Marilyn Munroe inspired digi called Hollywood Starlet Miss M  from The Scrapbook Stamp Society from the talented artist Heather Valentin - the digi can be found HERE.

First up is a 6x6 square card. I have cut a scalloped heart in 2 different sizes and used it as a backing accent for behind the digi. The card was covered with purple rose paper and edged in pinflair flexi bend peel offs.

The digi was printed on neenah card stock and coloured with spectrum noir pens. Then it was cut closely to the edge of the image. It was shaped and attached to the hearts with pinflair glue.

The flower is made from stiffened lavendar coloured lace and it was then shaped and rolled into a flower shape. Other flower embellishments were added, a feather, a bow and a charm. I cut a flourish from a nestie and added  that above the ensemble

Pearls were added to the necklace, earring and on her shoes plus added to each corner of the card.

I am entering this project in the following challenges.

Next up is a scalloped rocker card  - i just adore creating these cards as they are such fun to make. I printed the digi onto neenah card stock and coloured her with spectrum noir pens.
The digi was then cut using a nestie shape, the red mirror board was then cut into the next size up and then a flower shaped nestie cut as the top of the rocker.
The bottom of the rocker was cut from a scallop circle and star paper cut to fit.
Peel offs were added around the edges of the circle. I applied lots of pearl bling and stars around the top

Today i am showcasing 2 digi creations using the "Bathtime Kitty" digi from The Scrapbook Stamp Society created by the talented artist and owner of the company Sherri Baldy the digi can be found HERE.

First up is a card using a 6x6 square turquoise base. I cut a sheet of DCWV bubbley embossed glittery card and that was put on the card base leaving a small border.
The digi was printed onto Neenah card stock and coloured with spectrum noirs in turquoise/aqua colours

I then mounted the digi onto the same turquoise and a blue matting and layering blocks then mounted that onto the card.
The water and bubbles were glittered to make them shine

I then added a ribbon stip and bow to pick out the other colours i have used in the card. Added 2 hat pins for effect.

Next up is a wall hanging. i love creating these projects as i get to play with my grand calibur. I cut a large scalloped shape on purple then a smaller circle in purple glitter.
The digi was printed onto neenah and cut using a nested scallop shape. The digi was coloured with spectrum noir pens.
I attached the digi scallop to the glitter circle then attached the ribbon loop and ribbon strips and feathers onto the back of the glitter card with pinflair. Once in place i then used pinflair glue again to attach it all to the back of the large scalloped circle

Glitter was then added to the water bubbles.

Lastly i added some bling and floral effects.

GROOVY BABY & DANCE SHOES !

Hello everyone

Today i am showcasing another 2 Scrapbook Stamp Society digi card creations using digis called Blossom Hippie chick from the talented artist Heather Valentin and it can be found HERE  and New Dance shoes from the talented site owner and artist Sherri Baldy and she can be found HERE

First up is Groovy Baby using Blossom hippie chick digi. I saw a card from a previous DT member and loved how they used this digi and the compostion of the card that i knew i wanted to try to create my own version.

I have also taken inspiration for the colours of this card from a friend of mine called Lisa, who some time ago created a baby card in these colours and i decided they would look fabby for this digi - she also called it groovy baby.

I have printed her onto Neenah card stock and coloured her with my spectrum noir markers, then cut her out using a nestie shape. I have used the next size up to cut out the pink mirror board.

I have covered the card in pink/green backing paper and edged in pink peel offs.

Next i used glossy accents to accentuate her flared trousers, her ruffles on her shirt and her eyes
I punched out 3 butterflies in the limey green card stock and added them to the card with pink bling for their bodies.

I also added pink and green card candy around the edges of the card and a bow in her hair

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

MOTHER's DAY

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there.

I would like to show you the card that i created for my mum.
Its a shaped easel card

Happy Mothers day MUM !

BEST FOOT FORWARD

Hi everyone

Today i am showcasing 2 cards made using the same digi from the Scrapbook Stamp Society called "best foot forward"

For this card i have a scalloped 6x6 square card. I have printed the digi onto Neenah and coloured her with the spectrum noir alcohol pens.
Once coloured i cut her to size and rounded the corners, likewise with the gold and blue matting and layering card.
The card blank has some papermania blue flower paper added with gems as flower centres.

Next i glittered her arms, skirt and added liquid pearls to the petticoat of the skirt.

Her eye lids have also been glittered and glossy accents added to her eyes to make them shine.

Her leg warmers have also been glittered to within an inch of their lives !!

I  am entering this card into the following 5 challenges :-

(I have 4 flowers on the backing paper and 4 liquid pearl drops on the neenah card stock that the digi is on and 4 layers of card - the main card blank, the neenah the digi is on, the gold mirror card and the blue card matt.)

Next up is the same digi but in a different colour palette - this time my favourite colours lilac/pink.

This time i have created a rocker card with the digi and coloured her in lilac/pink shades using spectrum noirs.
This close up shot shows her head, glittered eyeshadow and the sculpted curve of how i have mounted her onto the card blank.

This next shot shows the amount of bling and glitter on her leg warmers

Here is a close up shot of the bow and some of the little flowers

and lastly a flat angled shot to show the dimension of the card

I am entering this creation into the following challenges:

Well thanks for stopping by and I hope you like both my creations for today.
