BOWS & BERRIES - NEW DIGI RELEASES IN THE SHOP

Hello everyone

Today i am letting you know about the new releases for Bows and Berries - its a fantastically cute halloween range.

I have used witchcraft alley digi to promote this launch  - she has been coloured with spectrum noir markers and the cauldron and her hat belt has been glazed with glossy accents. I have used a spooky tree background paper from a DCWV stack and added some K&CO embellishments of googly eyed spiders and a pumpkin. Hope you like her

B&B Challenges are starting back soon - plus with new DT member - so keep watching out.

50th Birthday Luau Blog hop 29th 30th 31st August

Hello all and welcome to day three of Barbaras 50th Birthday Luau blog hop.

If you have arrived here from Barbara's   blog then you are on the right track but if you have just arrived here from blog land and wish to hop along then please start back at the beginning HERE with Barbaras blog.

My first project for today is a shell ankle bracelet. I bought a bag of all shell pieces for jewellery making or adding as embellishments onto cards. What i i have done is strung them altogether on stretchy clear elastic to form an ankle bracelet. This is something that i took away on holiday with me to Cyprus earlier this month.

My last project for today and for this hop is another cute hawaiian card - this time depicting 2 fabby hawaiian penguins ! I know this is a birthday hop but this is a card i have created for an anniversary and its one that for me is a future bucket list holiday to hawaii for our anniversary so its a card ill be keeping for a long long time for the 2 of us

Well i hope you have liked all my 3 day projects for Barbara's birthday blog hop - thanks again to Barbara for having me help celebrate her birthday being part of the hop and i hope youve had a blast!

now for your next hop stop - its over to Linda

Thanks for hopping everyone and im looking forward to reading all your comments.

My second guest designer spot on Purplefuntastick !!

Hello all today i have my second Guest Design team spot for Kari over on Purplefuntastick.

The theme for this posting is "End of summer" and i hope you like what i have created - it is a Pyramage card of an end of summer night image.

I used my software program to manipulate the image and reduce it down in size to create and A4 sheet of the whole image in stages onto one sheet.  This pic shows the pyramage image in close up. Once i cut out all the stage layers i then used 3d foam to layer them up and give the dimension. The image was the matted and layered onto Yellow and orange card stock. I then covered a card base in green paper and edged it in pinflair border peel offs.

I punched out 2 circles shapes and used peel off letters to create the sentiment and added a little bow as a finishing touch.

This is my last GDT posting for Purplefuntastick for the time being - i hope you like what i have created and will pop back and check out my blog again. I look forward to reading your comments.

Beckys Birthday blog hop 27th Aug

Hello there everyone. Today finds me participating in a blog hop to celebrate a fantastic blogging crafty friend of mines birthday  - Becky !

So please join me in wishing her a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Becky thank you for asking me to take part in this hop to help you celebrate as i am honoured you thought about me amongst all your American and Canadian crafting pals.

I hope you like what i have created.

If you have arrived here from Nicole's blog  then you are on the right track but if you have arrived here from just hopping around in blogger land and would like to join us on the hop to help celebrate with Becky then please click HERE to start at the birthday girls blog.

Becky has a wide variety of themes for this hop - polka dots, pin up girls, fairies, cherries and vintage so im sure you can guess what i chose to create with ....

Lets start with some fairies.
This one is a LOTV stamped image and ive used a background cricut cut fancy doillie type card flourish and this has been mounted onto bearly mine paper onto the craft works card stock base. The whole card has been edged in pinflair flexi bend peel offs and also added to the doillie. The image has been coloured in copic makers and then cut out close to the edge and mounted onto the card using pinflair glue. I have also added some small flowers and leaves randomly on the creation again attaching them with pinflair.

This next card is also a LOT stamped image and i have coloured this one also with copic markers
I have created this as a rocker styley card by using a circle and a scallop circle cut from a cricut cart. The base edged in pinflair flexi bend peel offs and likewise around the bearly mine paper in the middle of the scallop circle. Heaps of pearly bling added all around the card, buttons, punched out flowers, a sentiment and ribbon to top it all off

Next is some fabby pin up girl images. This first one is a lovely one of a bunny girl. I have cut it into an oval and then matted it onto rainbow mirror card. Bearly mine paper again on the background and pinflair peel offs around the edges. Craft work cards cardy candy pink blobby things in each corner and a ribbon tops of the design

Now then this ones  a little racy dont you think ?  I have used a tea house paper on the background, pinflair peel offs again and cut a mirror board circle for the lady to sit on. I have then punched out two flower toppers and added bling to their centres. Bling all around the circle area for effect. I have attached the lady with pinflair so she is 3d'd. I have added a craftwork cards sentiment and a little bow. Doesnt she look like Marilyn Munroe a little!!

My next creation takes into account cherries and polka dots - its a digi image of a cherry pie that has been coloured in spectrum noir markers. The cherry embellishment and sentiment is from Dovecraft piece of cake range and ive used cherry paper and other backing papers from a DCWV paper pad.

Now then thats it for my creations and i do hope Becky likes them.  I would appreciate it if you could leave me a comment as i love to read what you think of my creations.

To continue with the hop please now pop on over to  www.scraptasticalkreations.blogspot.com where you will find another creation from Kirsty.

THANKS again to Becky for having me on your  hop and i hope you have a fantastic birthday. x
I couldnt resist when i saw some images of cherries on cakes so im posting them just for you as basically i cant bake - so i have to cheat !!

Thank you to everyone for hopping.

SHEENA DOUGLASS WORKSHOP - PERTH 21 AUG 2011

Well here we have it - my blog post on Sundays workshop as i know some of you have been eagerly awaiting the pics

The day started for me at 6am on the road from Inverness - Russ and Sheena were about 5am, having longer to travel.  My arrival at perth was a great start as Mrs Satnav took me to the old hotel where we used to have workshops at !! PANIC set in and had to get the other posty code and then re-negotiate the perth one way !!

Parked the car and helped unload all the goodies - OMG the Douglass's didnt have pack the van to full capacity !!

Here is the "fusionmeister" and "the gopher" ready to begin our day - although thinking about it i was the gopher for the day  being sheenas little helper !!

After we got set up everyone started to file in and take their seats eagerly awaiting what lay in store.

Here are a few pics of some of the creations that Sheena and the DT have created for the tv shows.
OOPS in the first one its obviously minus the coffee cups !!

The first thing we did was to paint and crackle a tag then paint a box with wet on wet technique - both then put aside till they dried for later fusioning !!

Heres a pic of sheena in action with everyones eyes on what she is doing

You can just see a half eaten biscuit on Sheenas table - im surprised it wasnt coverd in paint and embossing powder before devoured !!

We then painted the lavender onto our tag and its amazing how many different versions and colours that one room can come up with.

Here is a shot of the tags before they are sparkled

and now after sparkle - wow it really makes them pop.

This is my tag

Our next project was to create a bouquet card - here is my finished creation.

Our last project was to paint fusion the box with berries  - here is Sheenas creation

My crafty pal Susan from Aberdeen, the lucky duck, won sheenas box in a pop quiz - her first time attending a workshop too ! Well done you Sooz. This is as pic of the 2 of us - its a tad fuzzy im afraid as not sure what happened with the camera.

Now here is my box

A great time was had by all and here are the band of happy fusioneers doing their shopping - notice all the empty seats as they are off spending their dosh !!!

If you would like you can also check out Sheenas blog for Russell's post on sundays events ! Here is the link.  http://www.sheena.tv/?p=2355

Roll on the next workshop.
