Yesterday was the launch of Sheena Douglass's new paint fusion range on Create and Craft TV - dont know if you caught any of the shows - i didnt. As you know i am on her DT but this time myself and half the other DT members were not invited to make samples for her - i think you can work out how that makes me feel !!
But on a happier note - i have submitted 20 fabby projects to Debbi Moore for this coming friday's POTW launch - its an amazing CD set and i know you will LOVE it ! I will be posting my creations next friday morning prior to the show launching so keep your eyes out.
Yesterday at school we were to all dress up in our finery as if we were attending the Royal Wedding - we made commemorative plates, mugs, flags and windmills with the kids and then watched the ceremony. After we had fish and chips for lunch followed by Wedding cake.
Today the sun is shining again (its been a really sunny week) and we have lots of things to get done this weekend so not sure how much posting ill get done but i do have challenges to enter.
Hope you all have a lovely crafty weekend whatever you can get up to.

Digi Doodle Stores Best blog challenge # 56
Good morning everyone. Over on Digi Doodle Stores Best blog the theme of todays challenge #56 is Anything Goes. You can use any digi image but obvisously it would be nice to see you use a DDS image.
Now on for the challenge - here is my DT entry - i have used the daydreamer digi in on a card where she is dreaming of being anywhere but here - which is how i feel just now and wishing i was on holiday!
For this digi she is coloured in copic sketch markers then matted onto pearl sandy coloured card. The backing paper is of a beachy scene from DCWV pack and added some shells from the bathroom! The sentiment is something i typed and coloured myself then punched with a 2 1/2" scallop x cut punch.
I hope you like what i have created - please feel free to check out the rest of the DTs creations - this can be found from the DDSB DT link from the top of my blog
Thanks for stopping by and i look forward to seeing your creations

LOOK WHAT YOU FIND IN THE GARDEN THESE DAYS !
Just a few minutes ago Jim shouted me to come outside - this was what greeted me - Gypsy helping (or should i say hindering) to take in the washing from the line !!
Now following on from my previous posts showing garden creatures that i have painted and given a new lease of life - here is another one of my mums birds - the poor wee robin was in a pretty nasty state weathered and bashed and ive now painted it back to health.

BOWS & BERRIES - BRIGHT AND BOLD CHALLENGE #4
Hello crafters today is another Bows and Berries challenge - this week the theme is Bright and Bold.
For this challenge i have created the following 2 card projects.
For this project i have turned the digi image into a transparent PNG and using my graphics program i have then coloured the shoE all black and tiled it to become a backing paper. Then printed and used the single image and coloured it with copic markers and glitter. Peel offs, ribbon and buttons added for jazziness.
For this card i have again used my graphics program to create a backing paper with imagery. The shoe was printed seperately, coloured, glittered and decoupaged. Peel offs and card candy added for effect.
Hope you like my creations this week. Why not pop on over to B&;B and give the challenge a go - remember to check out the other DTs inspirational creations too.
If you fancy getting 3 free digis from B&B then please click HERE for what to do.

The photos are of me from my earlier baby years and me from last year when Jim and I were on holiday in Majorca and took a cowboy trail ride.My cake was surprise surprise a tinkerbell one that my mum got for me - shame we had to eat it !!

Designed 2 Delight - bullfrogs and butterflies
Here is my fourth posting for today and its to enter into the challenge over at Designed2Delight digital stamps - bullfrogs and butterflies.
I love the digi images that Faith comes up with and this one is no exception.
Today i have created 2 cards using this cute digi - hope you like them.
For this one i decided to turn the frog pink - how cool a pink frog and to top it all i added glitter to him so hes a sparkly shiny frog. I have usedthe oh hoppy day digi and tiled it for the backing paper. The digi is coloured with my copic sketch markers, matted and layered on cerise card stock and added a bow and buttons
For this one i have again tiled the sentiment as a backing paper and coloured the image in copics. I have added glossy accents to the flowers and added some chipboard flowers and pink bling

PEN HOLDER
Some time ago i asked my dad if he could make me a pen holder for my promarkers. I dont have as many PMs as i have copics and if im honest i dont use them as much as they are stashed away in holder and i cant see the colours properly so i got an idea in my head for a holder an asked Dad to help out.
Today when i was round at my mum and dad's the pen holder was finished - wow its fantastic as so much better than i had envisaged it would be. Havent i got a clever dad!!
I added some fancy papers to the bottom inside and the side parts to hide the pencil marks and screw holes. The papers i chose are from DCWV and i added a wee butterfly - i will of course add some fairies but going to stamp them out on shrink plastic - a project im working on during this week.

GARDEN OWL
Hello all and Happy easter - hope your not eating too many choccie eggs!!
Today i got around to painting the mummy owl from my mums garden - for those of you who remember but in Misty's All Creatures Great and Small hop the other week one of my projects was painting a garden owl baby. Click HERE if you missed it.
My mum has a collection of garden creatures and some were looking rather worse for wear due to the weather as all the colour had gone. so i made it my mission to recifty them and breath some new life back into them.
Well i took home the mummy owl to paint and took before and after shots so you can see what the weather did to the poor thing before i worked my wonder on it.
Here are 2 before shots.
I think he came out rather well - what do you think? Ive now got a robin to do so will post him a little later.

HOME DECOR BLOG HOP 22-24 APRIL 2011
Hello everyone, and welcome to day 3 of the The Home Decor 3 day BLOG HOP
If you have arrived here from Jen R's blog then you are on the right track. If you are here just browsing around (thank you), but would like to “hop” along with us then please start back at Faiths blog for the day one project.
http://faithfulecreations.wordpress.com/
http://faithfulecreations.wordpress.com/
The theme for this hop is Home Decor so our projects had to be creations for such.
Here is the last of my three day projects – the first one is a painted mannequin bust.
I measured out a dowling rod to fit the right size of the bust and to leave enough for a stand and cut to size. I then asked my hubby to cut me a cross shape for the bottom as i cant use a saw properly!!
When he cut it for me i had to make sure the dowling rod would fit the hole in the bottom and then glued it into a cross shape to act as a base for the whole thing to stand on. The visible stand base from cross bottom going up to the bottom of the bust is 12" in height but overall it is 25" but as most of it disappears up inside the bust for stability.
Once in place and dry i painted it all black.
The bust was then covered in wild orchid flowers and leaves for decoration. I just adore this flower range and have so many of them in my collection.
I used the ends of the leaves and curled them around a paint brush to create the swirly flourish tendrell embellishments in with the flowers.
Lastly i added 2 buttons and a small piece of ribbon and bling pink gem as a neck piece to finish it off.
The finished item can be used as an ornament to add decoration to your dressing table in your bedroom or any room depending on the colour scheme used.
My next project is fairy related and for those of you that know me will know that this is no surprise for a fairy thing or 2 to crop up in something that im doing !
This one is a fairy door.

A very simple project as i bought a fairy door blank from ebay (3" tall) and i painted it two colours of brown then gave the wood a grainy effect. Next i added some liquid lead liner for the small window and then made a little hole in it to place in its door handle. To decorate i added a ladybug, butterfly and little gold stars.
A fairy door can be put against your skirting boards in your home so that fairies can move freely from room to room in your home without being detected ! Ihave these in my house and in my garden.

Now for my last project. I bet you are wondering what on earth this ball with feathers is ???
Well its a fairy nest.
A fairy nest is a little home for the fairies that live in your home. It can be hung somewhere so the light will shine on the glitter as fairies are attracted to the glitter, feathers and beads and you will soon find that one will be living in your nest. I have several of these hanging up in my house and sold heaps at fayres as they are so novel.
This is how i made it.
Its a rafia ball that i had in a bag of pot pourri and ribbons, feathers, beads and 2 little chipboard creatures.
I sprayed the ball in silver glitter spray then attached ribbons to the top for hanging it up and tied it off in a bow.
I then attached lots of ribbons to the bottom and threaded on assorted beads.
The feathers are then poked up inside the beads and a little glue added to hold them in place.
I then added the little chipboard butterfly, glittered, to the ball and a glittered dragonfly to the feathers.
There you have it -thats all my projects for this Home Decor 3 day hop.

HOME DECOR BLOG HOP 22-24 APRIL 2011
Hello everyone, and welcome to day 2 of the The Home Decor 3 day BLOG HOP
If you have arrived here from Jen R's blog then you are on the right track. If you are here just browsing around (thank you), but would like to “hop” along with us then please start back at Faiths blog for the day one project.

http://faithfulecreations.wordpress.com/
The theme for this hop is Home Decor so our projects had to be creations for such.
Here is the first of my day two project – a wall hanging.
What i have done to create this project is decide on the main theme – in this case its cats !!! i printed off some cat images from a papercrafting cd that i had and decided on how many separate hanging pieces i would need so printed enough cats to fit one on each side. My creation has 5 ovals so thats 10 cat images.
I then carefully cut out these images in a complete oval shape – you could use a punch or a die cutting machine if you had one. I took cardboard – the back of old notebooks are good – and attached 5 of the cats to the cardboard and again cut them out – this created a good backing support for the oval hangers. I spaced out the 5 ovals on the floor to work out how long i had wanted the hanging decoration to be then measured out enough chain to go from a loop at the top all the way to the bottom oval so as to have 2 inches spacing between ovals. I created a loop at the top of the chain and then attached the chain with pinflair glue all the way down the oval centres. I left this overnight to dry.
The next day i measured out enough ribbon to go in pleats around each oval and attached this with pinflair glue to the underside of the ovals that now had the chain attached. The last oval in the hanging had extra folded ribbon attached to the bottom of it like the ends of a rosette, to finish it off. Again left this to dry overnight as the ribbon had to be held in place with clothes pegs to make sure it stayed put !
The next day i then covered the other 5 remaining ovals in pinflair glue – extra glue this time – and then attached them to the ovals with the ribbons.
Job done! The tester was making sure it hung up successfully without anything falling apart. If this happens apply more glue – i think the secret to creating one of these projects is use a lot of glue – its better to use more than to use not enough and have it fall apart.
You could embellish each oval with glitter or bling depending on what the images were but for this project i have kept it to the plain toppers that i printed off.
Now for my next project which is a handpainted and decorated mannequin ornament.
I hope you like what i have created and shown you over the past 2 days and will return for day three tomorrow.
I would appreciate it if you could leave me a comment. If you do like what you see and wanna see more then id love it if you would become one of my ever growing list of followers.
I have blog candy giveaways on a regular basis and I also run bi weekly challenges and a RAK club for you to take part in.
