DISNEY - BAMBI

I am a big fan of disney - more so the older disney films from when i was a kid that i used to watch when i was growing up. While working on some bambi images today this has inspired me to  introduce a regular disney spot on my blog each week  where i will showcase some disney creations.  I have already this month posted Tinkerbell cards and today i have created some really cute Disney Bambi cards.

All the images are coloured in copic markers and some elements have been covered in glossy accents as i love that effect. I have used Craftwork cardstock and card candy on some. The flowers and leaves are from my stash and the peel offs are from pinflair flexi bend.

I hope you like what i have come up with - now to think about what i can work on for next week.

This last card i am entering into the
the song that inspired me on this card is
the main title song from Bambi called - Love is a song.

Now then i hope you like what i have created and if you are interested in any of the bambi images please drop me a comment with your email addy and i can send you one - let me know which one you like too.

"CBGM " BLOG CHALLENGE #2 MARDI GRAS

Good saturday morning to everyone - what you up to this weekend then? Im going to a card demo this morning then gotta crack on and get some more Sheena and Debbi samples made - Debbi is coming up with a new POTW in a couple of weeks so its a marathon project making session yet again!!

Now today is the day i launch the second blog challenge and I will  draw the winner of the first one.
Thank you to the DT for their samples and a big thank you to those of you who played along, hope to see you back again for the future challenges.

So here goes - the random number generator has selected the winner and drum roll please ......

That makes Moira the winner of my very first challenge - congratulations Moira. If you got to the ME tab at the top of my blog to get my email addy and drop me a line for your winning blinkie.

Right then the theme for the new challenge is Mardi Gras. Theres is no sketch and no specific type of project required so just go with whatever takes your fancy - the only stipulation is you need to use the colours Purple, Gold and Green.  So go on get your thinking caps on and show me what you can create as this is a very open challenge and im intrigued to see what you come up with.

Now for those who do not know what Mardi Gras is all about heres a wee ditty.

Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday in English) in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a Carnival celebration well-known throughout the world. The New Orleans Carnival season, with roots in preparing for the start of the Christian season of Lent, starts after Twelfth Night, on Epiphany. It is a season of paradesballs (some of them masquerade balls), and king cake parties. It has traditionally been part of the winter social season; at one time "coming out" parties for young women at débutante balls were timed for this season. Celebrations are concentrated for about two weeks before and through Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. Usually there is one major parade each day (weather permitting); many days have several large parades. The largest and most elaborate parades take place the last five days of the season. In the final week of Carnival, many events large and small occur throughout New Orleans and surrounding communities.

Ok then moving on to what the Design Team have come up with for some inspiration for you this time.
They have made a superb job dont you think? If you want to see their entries in more detail if you click on the CBGM DT link on the top tab of my blog and select the DT members - this will direct you to their blogs/FB pages.

This is my entry - i have made 3 mardi gras face masks using Debbi Moores Venetian cd - added Feathers and lot and lots of glitter and bling !

For my first challenge if you remember i had a guest designer GYSPY - well after seeing what she created and reading all the comments,  which she was so appreciative of, poor LUCKY  got jealous.
So he demanded that he have a contributing role this time around.
I had a job to get him out of his bed  as you can see -  but ...

he did get up and this is what he created - isnt he a clever puss  - hope you like his creation.
LUCKY  has asked that if he gets some nice  comments that  his mummy would give him a nice big bowl of prawns for his dinner !!  Do you think he deserves that then ???
I do.

Ok then i hope you like what my DT have created for your inspiration and will join us in entering this
challenge #2 Mardi Gras.

Remember you need to be a follower of the blog, make your creation and post about it on your blog - linking it back to this challenge then complete the Mr Linky below - the challenge runs for 2 weeks so good luck !

GOOD LUCK everyone.

Warm colours / weather is coming !

2 - In a Sweet pea dream - Warm weather

SHEENA DOUGLASS PAINT FUSION - SNEEKY PEEK

Hello everyone - well here are some sample projects  i have made using Sheena's new Paint Fusion technique.
Sheena will be on C&C showcasing this new technique as the POTW - so thats a whole week of Sheena on our screens - cant wait. Remember some shows will be pre records and if the shows are on after 1pm then you will need to watch it either on your computer or via catchuptv on the internet - its free to register and its all live tv.

No rest for the wicked as Sheena will then  be in Glasgow at the hobbycrafts fayre thu 3 - sun 6th - hope to catch up with her there.

Hope you like what i have created.  The backgrounds on all projects have been made using the crackling technique to make it look old and distressed like old wood or an old picture. I love this technique.

Here goes - let me know what you think

.
I did this painting without the aid of instruction, guidance or the DVD as only had the stamp sets and the paints - the DVD was late in arriving to me as i only got it on thursday -   am so glad that they all came up to scratch and Sheena liked what i did.

DEBBI MOORE - NEW CD LAUNCHING TOMORROW

Hello everyone - just a quickie post to let you know that Debbi is launching a new cd range tomorrow on C&C at 1pm and the show will be with Pam McGlade from Debbi's team.  Its Pam's first time on air so please join me in wishing her well.  When i was working on these projects i didnt have the full cd to use so my projects only reflect a small amount of what is available on the cd.

Below are a few of the projects that i have created from the new ...

ANGELLAND  CD.

This first group of projects show a large A4 decoupage card with feathers and an angel charm and lots of bling. The smalle3r one on the right is a 6x6 scalloped  square shaker card with silver metal magic used for the stamped sentiment "hugs" seal on the ribbon. The third one is a small  matchbook style holder - when it is open there is provision inside to hold a gift card, lottery ticket or whatever small item you wish to give to  someone.

This next group shows a handbag style notebook with charms hanging from the top. The angel on the front has been covered in crystal print magic. The card is in decoupage style with a stamped sentiment using pink metal magic as the sentiment.

This group has a penny slider card where the imagery has been covered in print magic and a small sweets bag that could be used for kiddies parties or such like

This is one of my favourites - its a large purple decoupage card with lots of glitter and a butterfly embellishment nestling in the ribbon. The smaller one is a fancy shaped card using the angel image done in crystal print magic.

This is my fav - a twisted easel of the angel in grey and lilac shades. The sentiment is created using a stamp and lilac  metal magic.

Lastly i have created a wall hanging for a childs bedroom - its made using some of the angel images all decoupaged and glittered,  matted and layered and attached together on one long piece of ribbon with feathers at the bottom.

Hope you can tune into the show.

LOTV - MY FAVOURITE COLOURS CHALLENGE #84

This is my entry for the LOTV my favourite colours challenge - i have used a cutey girl image and coloured her in copics and glazed her up. The card base is craftwork cards and their candy,  papers, peel offs, ribbon, flower and gems from my stash.
My fav colour is pink and it teams well with lilacs so there we have it  - a card in my fav colours!
Hope you like it.

WHIFF OF JOY - CHALLENGE #98 PAPER PIECING

I have completed this card today for the Whiff Of Joy paper piecing challenge - paper piecing its the art of stamping your image on card then stamping again on patterned paper and using elements from the patterned paper to add to your original image then colour the remainder.

What i have done here is colour Oakely and Willow in copic markers and used a demin jeans backing paper for Oakleys shirt and jeans. I have then 3d'd them with pinflair onto the image.
Ive used a couple of co-ordinating backing papers, a cricut flowery frame and a sugar nellie sentiment. I have used craftwork cards card stock and card candy and a cocktail stamp that i cant remember where from !! I have also glazed parts of the stamped images to make them stand out.

Hope you like it

WOODLAND FOLK - DO CRAFTS

Here are a few of the woodland folk stamps that i had been playing around with. The images are coloured in copics and glazed,  mounted onto papermania woodland folk backing papers & sentiments onto craftwork cardstock. Pinflair flexi bend peels offs and ribbons from my stash.

MERMAIDS

Yesterday i was working again on  some bits and bobs that had been  started a long time ago and i got fed up with - well they are now complete - thankfully and are now added to my stocks box for up coming fayres.

They are from a mermaids cd - ive printed the images - most are decoupage and  invertage where i used pinflair glue to add the dimension. Most of the papers are also from the cd, matting and layering sheets and cardstock are just from my stash and the candy is from craftwork cards. Glitter was a compulsory factor on these !!

Now for the card reveals !
