Hello everyone, im excited to be hosting "For the LOVE of PINK" blog hop for my birthday today on this the 1st July 2011.
If you have arrived here for this hop then you are on the right track to begin. If you are here just browsing around (thank you), but would like to “hop” along with us then please start right here and move on down the list – the line up can be found at the bottom of this posting. Thank you for taking time out to hop along and help me celebrate my birthday.
Thank you to the very talented crafty crafters that are joining me in taking part – so grab a cuppa and sit back and enjoy what we have to show you .
The theme for this hop is "For the LOVE of PINK" so our projects had to be creations depicting something PINK in any shape, form or style.
Here is what i have to show you today:-
As you would know by now i LOVE pink and FAIRIES! When i hosted the fairy day hop i created so many projects that i go so carried away with myself. So i kept some projects aside for this hop. This first one is a large A3 size picture of candy tuft fairy. I took a small image from a crafters companion cd and enlarged it to print on A3 photo paper. I then re printed the fairy area and decoupaged her wings - covering them in glitter - this you can see from the second photo. I cut a sheet of A0 handmade lilac/pink paper and cut to size to fit the photo frame. I then printed the fairy name and decoupaged it onto the picture. Handmade flowers were then added to the wording for effect.
From a chipboard pack i took out the larger swirls and flourishes and painted them in pink matt paint. Once dry i applied them to the front of the glass with pinflair glue. I then added a litte glitter to them to make them sparkle. This is such a huge project and i loved making it . It is now hanging in my craft room along with all my other projects i created from the previous Fairy day hop.
Now then another project left over from Fairy Day. This time is a glitter globe. I purchased a globe on ebay and added my glitter. Then i printed out 2 different images of candy tuft and put one on each side of the globe.
This is side one
This pic shows the glitter in motion once i have shaken it up. Cool eh !
Next i have created a jewellery set for myself - floating necklace, dangly earrings and an anklet are shown in this photo.
This next photo shows the coil bracelet.
Next are my last pink projects for this hop and they are birthday cards that i would make for myself if i was not me ! I decided not to do more fairy projects but the first card is a cupcake one as i also have a LOVE of cupcakes. I have used various different backing papers and border peel offs. I cut a cupcake from a crafting cd and then decoupaged the layers. Ive added glitter to the icing so its nice and sparkly. I then added craft work card candy as decoration to the side of the card and to act like a cherry on top of the cake. A little bow and a peel off sentiment added as the final touches.
This next one is on cocktails as i also have a love of pina coladas! I have created this card using a cocktail topper and matted it onto lime glitter card then onto a fancy background paper and used a rub on as a sentiment.
I have added some pink stars as embellishments
I hope you like all my PINK projects and id appreciate it if you could leave me a comment. If you do like what you see and wanna see more then id love it if you would become one of my ever growing list of followers. I have blog candy giveaways on a regular basis and I also run 2 challenges a month and RAK & birthday clubs for you to take part in.
Now back to the hop – as i said there are a lot of talented crafty people on this hop and I hope you enjoy looking through their blog entries. So now please hop on over to http://cardsbyjacki.blogspot.com/ which is the next blog in the hop where you will find another lovely creation from Jacki.
Here is the line up for this hop in case you get lost along the way. Please bear with some of the blogs as with the time difference between me and some of the line up, as i have crafters from all over the world taking part, there could be a wee delay in their posts appearing, thanks.
